The GUD10K series mining explosion-proof and intrinsically safe liquid level transmitter features a rod or cable structure with a ceramic capacitor or diffusion silicon sensor. It provides high-precision measurement, two switch outputs, and a (4-20) mA signal. The OLED display supports multiple units and a user-friendly interface. Its compact design allows flexible installation, making it ideal for coal mining applications. It meets GB/T3836 standards with an Exdb[ib] Ⅰ Mb explosion-proof rating.

Product Overview

The instrument adopts a rod-type or cable-type structure and uses a dry ceramic capacitive or diffused silicon hydrostatic level sensor as the sensing element. It is equipped with a high-precision measurement, conversion, display, and control circuit, providing two independent switch outputs and a (4–20) mA current signal output. The high-brightness OLED display shows real-time level values (with multiple selectable units). It features an interactive interface with three operation buttons for simple and intuitive operation. Parameters can be set via the front panel, and all settings are automatically saved.

The instrument integrates measurement, local display, control output, and transmitter output into a compact unit. It offers a wide measuring range, multiple process connection types, and material options. It is widely used for level monitoring and control in underground and surface coal mining equipment, significantly improving automation performance.

The instrument adopts a stainless-steel explosion-proof enclosure and an intrinsically safe circuit, designed and manufactured in strict accordance with GB/T 3836 standards. The explosion-proof marking is Ex db ib I Mb. This product can also be used independently as a flameproof device.

Explosion-proof Structural Features

The enclosure is made of stainless steel with a flameproof design. The viewing window is made of tempered glass. Protection rating is IP54. The cable entry device complies with GB/T 3836.1 Ex cable entry requirements. A mining cable with an outer diameter of (8–12) mm must be used.

Two independent switch outputs (switch set point, switching direction, and switching differential can all be independently adjusted).

The control switches are passive contacts.

• The 10 m range is the standard upper limit. Other ranges can be customized according to user requirements. The minimum measuring range is (0–0.5) m and the maximum is 100 m.

• The instrument determines the liquid level by measuring the hydrostatic pressure at the measuring point. The hydrostatic pressure at a point in a liquid is proportional to the distance between that point and the liquid surface, i.e.: P = ρgh. For a given medium and installation location, ρ and g are constants; therefore, the level (distance from the measuring point to the liquid surface) is determined only by the hydrostatic pressure (pressure).

• Note: The default measuring medium is water with a specific gravity of 1. For other media, compensation should be made according to specific gravity.
